How to copy success is not an easy topic to write about. It depends very much on the type of
home based business you want to build.

else's idea.
Your uncle Joe may be a great store owner and make a lot of money but that does not mean that anyone can be as good or better than your uncle. By
the same token, it is a very good idea to learn as much as possible from successful companies. There is no need to start at the bottom when
others have already proven what works. There is no point to re-invent the wheel. It is round and you are not going to make it any rounder.
You can save yourself a lot of time and money by learning from other successful companies. These companies should include your more successful
competitors. It is possible to copy success and what a pleasure if you do not need to go through the same mistakes your competitors made and can
benefit from their trials and errors.
Tips on how to copy success:
1. Sometimes you cannot copy success
Many people have tried to build great auction websites that can compete with the likes of eBay. Nobody has yet succeeded or even come close for
that matter.
2. You don't want to be the market leader
Everybody follows the market leader. If you are an athlete and has ever run a marathon you will know that it is exhausting to stay in front of
the other athletes during the race. It nearly feels as if you are working twice as hard as anyone else. It is much easier to stay a couple of
lengths behind the leader, not losing sight of him, and only pass him once you are getting close to the end of the race.
3. Let other people pay the school fees
It can be very difficult to run a successful business and I am not aware of any company that has not made costly mistakes along the way. It is
all about paying school fees - Can be expensive and hurt a little but valuable lessons can be learned this way.
Try to learn from your competitors whenever they implement a new idea or strategy that is viable and profitable. Copy success. I always have a
rule that before I buy a new model vehicle I always wait a couple of months for other people to try it out first. If they are happy with it then
I will buy one as well. I have saved a lot of money by not being the first one to always buy a new gadget, vehicle, etc.
4. Watch out for copyright or trademark infringements
Be careful never to violate any competitor's copyright or trademark. Copy success should not be taken too literally.
A good example is a website - Assume your competitor has a great website that attracts a lot of visitors every day. Do not even try to copy his
website.
However, you can easily find out what his PageRank, Alexa Rank, and keyword position or search engine position is. You can also compare the number of incoming links to his website and request the same webmasters to exchange links with your site.
Once you understand how and when to copy success you should investigate continuous improvement. Does not matter how good your company is, in order to ensure the long-term viability of your company
you need continuous improvement.
Bottom line: Copy success whenever possible. It will save you a lot of time and money in your quest to become a money maker.
